10 Homemade Beauty Product Recipes

Hey loves. Like most moms and females I am ADDICTED to Pinterest. It is by far one of my favorite websites. There are so many neat tips and tutorials on there. I am always on there scouring for something I can make myself just to save me a bit of money. I found some Do it yourself beauty products that looked pretty interesting and they are all natural. I haven't made any yet, but once I do I will take pictures to show you guys. If you decide to use any of the following recipes please shoot me a message or comment and tell me how it worked out for you or send me a picture and let me see. Hope this helps. :)

All Natural Blush
Ingredients:  Small glass lip gloss containers, small saucepan, fine mesh piece of fabric, 1 teaspoon of organic almond oil, 1 teaspoon of organic beet root powder and 1 teaspoon of 100% pure lanolin.

Directions: To make blush, fill a saucepan with water and place a glass measuring cup inside of it. Turn onto low heat and place lanolin and almond oil in the measuring cup, stirring until melted. Once melted, add your beet powder, and stir until thoroughly mixed. Now pour your mixture into a glass jar (straining it with the fine fabric) and allowing it to cool.

All Natural Foundation
Ingredients: Arrowroot powder, cocoa powder, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, and jojoba, olive, or almond oil (optional)

Directions:  Start with a base of arrowroot powder and slowly add in one or a combination of the cocoa powder, cinnamon, or nutmeg to your desired skin tone.  For a more compact foundation, add some jojoba/olive/almond oil and press down.

Cooling Cucumber Toner
Ingredients: 1/2 cucumber with peel, chopped, 3 tablespoons of witch hazel and 2 tablespoons of distilled water.

Directions: Blend or process all of the ingredients in a blender or food processer until smooth. Pour mixture through a fine-mesh colander to remove any solids and pour toner into a clean bottle with tight fitting lid. Store in refrigerator and when ready for use, apply to your face using a clean cotton ball.

Sea Salt Spray
Ingredients: 1 spray bottle, 5 parts warm water, 1 part epsom salt

Directions: Mix together in spray bottle, spray on damp hair and scrunch hair as you go to get the wavy texture.

Eye Makeup Remover
Ingredients: Water, tear free baby shampoo and baby oil.

Directions: Add ingredients to a small bowl and stir. Transport the mixture into a jar that can be closed (like a mason jar) and shake before use.

Honey Shampoo
Ingredients:1 tablespoon of raw honey, 3 tablespoons of filtered water, and if desired, a few drops of essential oil.

Directions: Mix ingredients together in a microwaveable bowl. Slightly heat the mixture on low heat to dissolve the honey. Add a few drops of essential oil to the mixture. Transport into a small bottle that you can bring with you into the shower, and shampoo your hair as usual.

pH Balancing Leave In Conditioner
Ingredients:   part aloe vera gel or juice, 1 part water, 5-6 drops of rosemary essential oil, and 1-2 pumps of leave-in conditioner

Directions:  Combine ingredients in a spray bottle and shake vigorously until conditioner dissolves. Use as a moisturizing leave-in spray.

Sugar Lip Scrub
Ingredients: Vanilla extract, sugar, olive oil, cocoa powder, measuring spoons and a small bowl.

Directions: Add 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of cocoa powder, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 1/2 teaspoon of oil in a small bowl and mix well. Apply to lips with fingers or a toothbrush in small circular motions for about 30 seconds. Rinse with lukewarm water.

Natural Lipstick
Ingredients:  1 teaspoon of beeswax pastilles, 1 teaspoon of shea butter or cocoa butter and 1 teaspoon of coconut oil.  For color options, choose 1/8 teaspoon of beet root powder for red hues, or 1/4 teaspoon of organic cocoa powder or cinnamon for brown hues.

Directions: Melt the beeswax, shea/cocoa butter and coconut oil in a glass jar without a lid, submerged in a small pot of simmering water. Once melted, remove from heat and add any additional ingredients for color. Once all ingredients are mixed well but still liquid, use a dropper to pour into an empty container of lip balm. Fill to just below the brim as it will expand. Let cool for an hour and store in a cool place.

Cream Eye Shadow
Ingredients:  Measuring spoons, measuring cup, graduated 3mL plastic transer pipettes, 5 gram eyeshadow container, microwave, spoon, 8 white beeswax pastilles, 1 teaspoon of refined shea butter, .75 ml of refined jojoba oil, 3.75 ml of vegtable glycerin, 12 drops of vitamin E oil, 2 teaspoons of ultramarine violet pigment powder (or your choice or pigment), and 1/4 teaspoon of cosmetic pearl mica powder.

Directions: Melt your beeswax pastilles and shea butter in glass measuring cup for 1 minute (or until melted).  Using a different pipette for each ingredient, add glycerin, jojoba oil, and vitamin E to the wax and shea butter. Now, measure the pigment powder and mica and stir to the liquid mixture. Scoop mixture into your empty eye shadow container. For best results, wait one day before using so the formula can set.
